3. Speeding: This is another major cause regarding car accidents and is a critical issue for teen safety. We must teach our children to respect speed limits and explain that not doing so can take lives. Teach your child the pitiful statistics out there when teens and speeding are combined.
4. Alcohol or drug use: Talk with your children about the dangers of driving while under the influence of a substance, and how lethal it can be. In addition to being illegal for minors, alcohol impairs your ability to drive.
